GOOD MORNING WORLD! *streaming sunshine*
After a 3-day hiatus, i'm back to my blog! Not just that but i'm back with awesome photos of my trip to 日月潭 (Sun Moon Lake)! i think we were rather lucky to coincide with fairly good weather during our 2D1N getaway to Sun Moon Lake. it drizzled during our 1st day there but fortunately, the sun came out on the 2nd day albeit for a short while. nonetheless, it was an excellent window of opportunity for my friends and I to snap like crazy over every little photo-worthy objects/people/scenery.
Having sat on all possible kinds of transportation around the Sun Moon Lake (bicycle, boat, bus, cable car), i would strongly encourage you to ride AT LEAST the cable car and bicycle. the bicycle ride allows ample time for you to immerse into the surrounding and scenery while the cable car gives you a bird-eye view of the Sun Moon Lake.
Needless to say, eating street snacks is a must in Taiwan and i trust the average food-loving Singaporeans to be able to "sniff" out the best stalls without much guidance. haha. there's a famous 阿婆茶叶蛋 by the lake but unfortunately, we didn't manage to try it :( anyway, just to orientate your expectation, this is not the place to find cheap food or bargains as it's a tourist attraction after all!
I shall now leave you with my photos and your imagination to experience Sun Moon Lake for yourself. Enjoy!
This fisherman's pose reminds me of Gandalf in LOTR. "You Shall Not Pass!" (shot taken during the bicycle ride)
Inscribed "Sun Moon Lake".
Admiring the breathtaking beauty.
The Maple leaves left with the Autumn wind.
Hillside living.
Silence is golden.
Who says the Sun can never exist alongside the Moon?
1, 2, 3 "Cheese"!
给妳海誓山盟。
螳螂捕蝉,麻雀在后。
月牙湾。

Our dinner which wasn't that awesome. lol.
忽然联想到哎哟哥哥的 《水手怕水》。哎哟~
水社码头。that wall of light is not from a Star Cruise. it's an observation deck.
Abstract art. lol.
The start of the 2nd day. significantly better weather!
Calm, mirror-like water surface.
We took a walk along the cycling path early in the morning.
Morning dew. one of my fav shot so far :)
This temple is perched atop a hill, overlooking the Lake.
The view from the temple.
"Do not disturb. Fishing in progress."
We took a boat ride across the Lake to the cable car station which brought us to 九族文化村. It is an aboriginal theme park but coincidentally, there was a collaboration with the famous Anime "One Piece" when we went.
We remained at the dock and cam-whored for a good 20 minutes i believe. lol.
Put your hands up!
Is this a beagle or a "hush puppy" breed?
Didn't have time to explore this part of the lake. but at the very least, my friends managed to buy what they claimed to be the awesomest sausages. haha.
This was from the One Piece exhibition hall in the theme park. Didn't take much photos while we were inside the theme park :S 1/2 of my soul left me after the excitement level A and A** rides in the theme park. LOL.
This is actually what we came for. haha :p
胜利品。Const if you see this, please post the video on FB. HAHA!
Bird eye view of Sun Moon Lake.
Dusk's approaching and it's time to say goodbye to the touristy mood.
How many shades of green can you see?
Sun Moon Lake was great but it was the company that made my trip awesome! thanks XN and Const for being such fantastic travel mates! :D
